Our tours are designed for guests to have fun, learn about Santa Barbara, get a little walk in and taste local Santa Barbara food and libations. We want guests to be full, but not overly full. There is so much great food in Santa Barbara, we want you to be hungry for dinner.

Logistics:

  1. Tours begin at noon sharp (unless otherwise stated)
  2. Please arrive a few minutes early (if you really want to impress, show up 15 minutes early )
  3. Tours run about 3.5-4 hours (dependent on the size of your group)
  4. Visit 6-7 local tasting locations (this includes 1 local wine tasting room – we visit the winery whether you drink alcohol or not)
  5. Your guide will greet you and will be wearing a Taste SBFT T-Shirt or jacket (if you are really lucky, your guide MIGHT be wearing a fanny packs that say Party)
  6. Tours are all walking tours, please wear comfortable clothes, shoes, etc
  7. We do serve water at most locations, BUT feel free to bring a bottle of water (water is available for purchase at a couple of the tasting locations)
  8. Tours begin and end at different locations (approximately 3 easy miles in total)
  9. As mentioned before, at the end of the tour, expect to feel good, some are really full, others are perfect. We do not want our guests to be too full because being too full isn’t fun and we want you to enjoy a wonderful dinner, because, we have some great dinner spots!
  10. Should you have a light breakfast? Yes, if you wake up early or have a tape-worm, please, we don’t want anyone showing up with low blood sugar
  11. Be ready to have a good time – all of our guides and vendors love Santa Barbara and love tours and want to show you the best time!

Have questions? Here's the most frequently asked.

Where do I park?

There are several paid lots within a 5 block radius of the meeting location. We do NOT recommend street parking because of time restrictions. Specific parking details will be included in the meeting location information after purchasing tickets.

There is a lot in front of the meeting location however we are not able to park there. The parking attendants 99.9% of the time will make you move your vehicle.

What about taking my child/children or animals?

While children are welcome on the tour, please keep in mind that tours are 3 hours long and we walk approximately 1.83 miles. All children 3 years and older are required to have a ticket. Children under 2 can attend free of charge if they will not be participating in the food tastings. Please let us know if you plan to bring children when purchasing your tickets. We are dog people, but sadly restaurants do not allow dogs it’s a health regulation thing.

Dietary Restrictions, Food Allergies, Food Aversions

We try to accommodate the best that we can, but if we don’t  know about the allergies/aversions ahead of time, we cannot accommodate.

We are able to accommodate a good amount of allergies but please note that none of our kitchens are completely allergen free kitchens.
