Yes, if you don’t have fun, there is probably something wrong with you.
We try to accommodate the best that we can, but if we don’t know about the allergies/aversions ahead of time, we cannot accommodate.
We are able to accommodate a good amount of allergies but please note that none of our kitchens are completely allergen free kitchens.
If you have a very big allergy (or a mild food allergy), please feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email and we are happy to discuss the tour and make sure it is right for you.
While children are welcome on the tour, please keep in mind that tours are 3 hours long and we walk approximately 1.83 miles. All children 3 years and older are required to have a ticket. Children under 2 can attend free of charge if they will not be participating in the food tastings. Please let us know if you plan to bring children when purchasing your tickets. We are dog people, but sadly restaurants do not allow dogs it’s a health regulation thing.
We suggest wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. Evan wears wedges on some of her tours because she is crazy and it keeps her going at a nice slow pace, don’t be like her, be comfortable. Rain Schmain – we will still carry on, just with cute rain boots, umbrellas and panchos. Please bring your own. Seriously though, tours will run rain or shine. We are in Santa Barbara, awful weather is simply a matter of opinion. We ask that you check the weather forecast and dress accordingly if inclement weather is predicted.
Yup, tickets must be purchased in advance. You snooze you lose. Tours often sell out so we suggest purchasing your tickets early to guarantee your desired tour day. You can buy your tickets either online or by phone with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Although not required, we definitely recommend tipping your tour guides, they are working very hard and deserve some financial recognition.
Who doesn’t take these tours? 3 hours of fun, food, drinks and some cool history, but not too much.
Locals, while you may be familiar with our route and some of the stops, you will have the opportunity to try new foods at the tasting locations and learn more about the establishments themselves. Also, being a local, you have the unique opportunity to re-visit the eateries we feature on the tour and any other recommendations we point out at your leisure!
Additionally, this tour is an excellent way to entertain out-of-town guests, celebrate a special occasion or encourage professional team building.
Since the tour is mostly downhill, both wheelchairs and strollers can be accommodated, it might not be the easiest for you, but it can be done and we can make it happen.
You have to be able to walk and stand a bit. There will be opportunities to sit at most locations. Bring some change for the State Street Trolley just in case.
The tour was designed with my 91 year old awesome grandfather in mind, he walks with a cane and he can do it – you can too!
Of course you can and we welcome it, we love touring with a group of like minded fun foodies. Click on the Private Tour Request here or link above and fill out the form! Let’s get our fun on.
MOST guests are pleasantly full by the end. We do not want you feeling overly stuffed and we have some great food in this town of ours and want you to enjoy a nice dinner.
We do suggest having a light breakfast before you meet up with the group, we prefer everyone’s blood sugar to be stable and not dropping.
Water is offered during most of our tastings, and you are welcome to bring a bottle with you (we encourage it).
If you paid for the alcohol included ticket – you will enjoy 2 wine tastings of 4 wines each and possibly another splash of wine or beer at another tasting location (depending on tour stops that day).
If you look under 25, please don’t forget to bring your valid government issued ID.
There are several paid lots within a 5 block radius of the meeting location. We do NOT recommend street parking because of time restrictions. Specific parking details will be included in the meeting location information after purchasing tickets.
There is a lot in front of the meeting location however we are not able to park there. The parking attendants 99.9% of the time will make you move your vehicle.
We generally recommend taking the tour early during your stay in town to allow enough time to revisit some of your favorite stops later during the trip.
You want to add a little something extra with candles? That’s awesome, we love all the celebrating. We are happy to try and accommodate!
Please email Evan in advance (firstname.lastname@example.org) we can try and add a little something extra for an additional cost.
